What an affiliate link is

Some links to online shops, such as Amazon or online Asian grocers, are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the shop may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would without the link. Pages with affiliate links say so near the top or next to the links.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Amazon links take you to Amazon UK. If you’re visiting from outside the UK, they take you to Amazon.com instead, which may send you on to your own country’s Amazon store. We only use your approximate country, worked out from your connection when you click, to choose the store, and we don’t keep it.

What it doesn’t change

• Store listings are never paid for. Which shops appear, and the order they appear in, comes from our research and the directory data, not from commissions.
• Kit and product suggestions in our guides describe the kind of thing to buy, not a particular brand. We link to a search so you can compare options and prices.
• Affiliate partners never see or approve what we write before it’s published.
